How to write an excellent answer for an essay question on exams


Answering essay questions on literature exams can be daunting, especially with timed exams. Before the test, you should have a full understanding of how the different parts of a classical argument fit together to make a whole. The best way to quickly write an organized essay is to outline your argument before you begin your answer. With a little bit of preparation, you can ensure a good grade on your exam.

1.      Planning

·        Always stick to the plan.

·        Number what you are going to talk about.

2.      Relevance

·        Answer relevant to the question.

·        Argument of the questions should be discussed at the beginning, throughout the paragraphs and at the end.

·        Keep mentioning the key words and use synonyms to skip repetition of the words. For that, you should be aware of a load of words.
